North Carolina is facing a major housing shortage. Bowen National Research estimates that the Carolina Core region in central NC alone will need more than 200,000 new homes by 2028 to meet demand. At Tempo Construction, we’re working to help meet that need by developing land and building homes across North Carolina.

We build a limited number of homes ourselves, focusing on durable, well-designed spaces that fit the character of the area. We also develop land for other builders, creating opportunities that match the needs of each market. Our work starts with identifying underutilized parcels and turning them into buildable lots,  for infill housing in growing towns, rural homesteads on agricultural land, or larger subdivided neighborhood plans.

We aim to add value in a way that fits the communities we work in. That means respecting the land, being mindful of how growth affects others, and keeping open lines of communication with landowners, neighbors, trade partners, and local officials.
